What Is The UWE Acceptance Rate?


The admission policy and the University of the West of England Bristol acceptance rate may vary by areas of study, degree level, student nationality or residence, and other criteria. However, as per the latest available data, published by UCAS, the UWE Bristol acceptance rate in the UK was recorded at 22.9%. 

About 29,555 students are enrolled at UWE Bristol:

– 25,610 of these students come from the UK
– 1,040 come from other EU countries
– And 2,910 are students from non-EU countries.

UWE  Bristol English Language Requirements


To secure admission at the University of the West of England, you will need to show evidence of your English proficiency. The university usually accepts the IELTS test scores which can broadly be classified into:

  • Reading
  • Listening
  • Writing
  • Speaking

The University Of The West Of England IELTS Requirements

  • The UWE Bristol Online English Language Test provides entry onto UWE Bristol courses only, and cannot be used for applications to other institutions. 
  • Students need to hold a conditional offer to study at UWE Bristol.
  • Some courses have more specific language requirements, so make sure you also check the requirements for the course you want to apply for.

While IELTS is the most commonly accepted test, you can also apply for other English language proficiency tests which the university considers for students.
