About Queen's University Belfast

Queen's Institution is the UK's 9th oldest university, having been founded by Queen Victoria in 1845 and providing tertiary education for nearly 170 years.

Belfast City Hall

What a great site to visit, especially for students! There is a free public exhibition room inside the building that you can visit. We underestimated the size of the display, which now spans 16 separate rooms! It analyses the city's administration, people, famous events, industries, diversity, holidays, and much more, using information, images, and artefacts to convey its narrative.

St Anne’s Cathedral

A beautiful church for everyone to come and visit. For students who wish to find solace & practice their faith close to their Queen's university accommodation as well as students who wish to learn more about the history and culture of the city. The foundation stone for the church was placed in 1899, but it was renovated and expanded several times over the next 100 years to reach its current appearance. If you chose to examine the church, there are several components that you might look at. The Good Samaritan Window (the only element of the 1776 St. Anne's Church that has survived), mosaics on the top of the baptistery and Chapel of the Holy Spirit (St. Patrick is pictured), and the Titanic funeral pall are among them.
