The University of Nottingham is a public research university located in Nottingham, UK. The university was founded as University College Nottingham in the year 1881 and was granted a royal charter in the year 1948.
University Park (Nottingham’s main campus), Jubilee Campus and Teaching Hospital (Queen’s Medical Centre) are located within the City of Nottingham, with several smaller campuses and sites elsewhere in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. University of Nottingham Campuses
1. University Park
This is The University of Nottingham’s largest campus at 300 acres. It has been part of the university since 1929, the campus is mostly regarded as amongst most attractive and the largest in the country.

2. Jubilee Campus
Jubilee Nottingham University campus is a modern campus which now extends to 65 acres and is located only one mile from University Park. The initial phase was opened by Her Majesty the Queen in 1999.

3. King’s Meadow Campus
It was acquired by The University of Nottingham in ’05 and has since been refurbished and heavily landscaped, with peaceful gardens and a fresh injection of year-round colour and foliage. It is now among the premier University of Nottingham campuses. The new name for the former ITV television studio complex was inspired by the adjacent King’s Meadow Nature Reserve, alongside the River Leen.

4. Queen’s Medical Centre
The QMC is part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and is the location to the University of Nottingham’s Medical School, which is next to the University Park Campus.

5. Royal Derby Hospital
The Education Centre at the Royal Derby Hospital is one of the biggest hospitals in the East Midlands. It proffers state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities for students. It is fully equipped with social and administrative facilities.

6. Sutton Bonington Campus
Sutton Bonington Campus encompasses specialist facilities and world-leading laboratories for studying biosciences and veterinary medicine. 7. Malaysia Campus
In Sept ’05, the Malaysia Campus shifted to its new purpose-built campus in Semenyih, located 30km south of Kuala Lumpur city centre. Set in a scenic position overlooking green hills on a 101-acre site it is designed to mimic the attributes of University Park in the UK. The campus is a self-sufficient and self-contained neighbourhood village in a garden environment with 5000 students. It combines a high-quality living atmosphere with state-of-the-art learning, teaching and research facilities.

8. Ningbo Campus
The 140 acre Ningbo campus was opened to students in 2004. It was inaugurated by John Prescott, the UK’s Deputy Prime Minister, in February of 2006. Similar to the Malaysia Campus, Ningbo Campus builds on the attributes of University Park in the UK. It includes a lake and its own version of Nottingham’s famous Trent Building.
