Holding Deposit
Once you have paid your Holding Deposit and you have been allocated a room, then should you decide to cancel, the Holding Deposit is non-refundable. If you have paid the holding deposit and the licence agreement has been accepted by both parties, you will be bound by the terms of the licence until a replacement licensee is found. If you rebook a room for a subsequent year and your deposit is carried forward, and then you decide to cancel this booking, then the deposit will be withheld.

Once you have paid your Holding Deposit and you have been allocated a room, should you then decide to cancel prior to the start of the licence period, you will be entitled to a full refund of the Holding Deposit. If you decide to cancel after the start of your licence period, you will be bound by the terms of your licence agreement. The deposit can be used to cover any outstanding rent in these circumstances.

Installment Plan: For our sites in England, if you have a guarantor then you can pay in instalments in September, January and April. The 1st payment will be due before your licence starts, depending on the location, it can be 12 days to 1 month prior to the tenancy start date. If the 1st instalment of your Student Loan is paid after this date then we can accept a payment of 4 weeks rent 1 week before you move in, with the balance paid when you receive your loan.

Mode of Payment: Debit and Credit Card, bank transfer, online portal.
No, Asa Briggs House is strictly non-smoking (including all types of e-cigarettes and vapes) in all internal areas. There are designated smoking areas outside, but if you are caught smoking, charges will be applied to your account.
