Where Are Students Coming From?

The beautiful city of York, which lies in northern England, has a lot to offer students. It's smaller than most in the UK, making it the perfect place to study if you want to experience cosmopolitan life but don't like the busy atmosphere of larger cities like London. York is frequently ranked as one of the greatest cities in the UK to live and travel. It is large enough to feel vibrant yet tiny enough to feel at home with a population of 200,000. One of the oldest ancient cities in the UK is York. Its combination of mediaeval structures and Roman and Viking ruins makes it a distinctive and fascinating place to explore. The city's famous mediaeval cobbled streets, The Shambles, can be explored together with the city walls, York Castle, and York Minster.

According to a study by UK food company Bisto and sociology specialist Dr Stephanie Alice Baker, York is the UK city with the best sense of community. This implies that you'll feel at home in the city thanks to its welcoming residents and join a tight-knit community. In addition, York is a relatively safe city, and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings Student Experience Survey placed it as the eighth safest university in the UK in 2018. You'll find it simple to navigate York because it is a very small city, which will speed up your adjustment to living there.
