House Policies
Can I cancel my rent contract after signing?
Once you have signed the tenancy agreement you will have no right to cancel the contract and shall be liable to pay the full rent relating to the accommodation for the term of the tenancy.
What happens if I decide to leave before the end of my contract?
Should you decide to leave for any reason prior to the end of your contract, you will remain responsible for the outstanding rent. We may be able to release you from your contract if you find a suitable replacement to take a new tenancy agreement for the rest of your tenancy and pay the outstanding rent. This will be subject to a £250.00 administration fee plus any fees payable to third party agents for a providing a replacement tenant. Any refunds will be paid after the student replacing you has signed the tenancy agreement, paid the rent, and moved in. If you can’t find someone to take over your tenancy, you’ll be responsible for paying the full rent until the end of your contract.
EARLY TERMINATION BY THE TENANT:
Should the Tenant wish to leave the Property for any reason prior to the end of this Agreement, the Tenant shall still remain liable for the rent for the Property for the whole Tenancy Period, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Landlord.
If the Landlord agrees to release the Tenant from the Property prior to the end of the Agreement, the Tenant will be liable for a £250.00 administration charge plus any other charges the Landlord will be subject to, such as fees payable to third party agents for a providing a replacement tenant.
