Cancellation Policy

Cooling-Off Period
We apply a 14-day cooling off period to all bookings, during which time all monies paid are refundable. This cooling-off period starts from the date of your booking. Please refer to your tenancy agreement or the sample agreement on our website for specific cancellation details related to your booking.

Early Termination of Tenancy
If you decide to leave the accommodation early, you will remain responsible for paying rent for the entire duration of your tenancy agreement. However, if you are able to find a suitable replacement tenant for your room, your tenancy agreement may be cancelled.
Refunds will only be given when a suitable replacement tenant is found, in line with the terms outlined in your tenancy agreement.

What is platform fees?

The Platform Fee is a one-time charge that prioritizes your booking and grants access to exclusive pre and post-landing services, potentially saving up to £1,500. This fee is refundable if UniAcco cannot secure the room category and property you select.

Is it Refundable?

You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of payment, after which platform fees will not be refunded (To be added on Cancellation Policy also)

Will the booking fee be refunded to the student?

Fee is non-refundable in case the student decides to swap their accommodation from a non-commissionable property to a commissionable property. Platform Fee is refundable to the student if they decide to cancel their booking within the defined “UniAcco Cooling Off Period”. This period will be upto 48 hours from the months April-September and 5 days from the months October-March.

Why should a student book with UniAcco and not directly with the Property Manager?

We will assist the student with the entire booking process. End-to-end handling of the cancellation process for the student. (Platform Fee won’t be refundable to the student in this scenario). Post Move-In Assistance to the student.

Can I share with my friends?

Mezzino understand that friends like to stay together. Therefore if you are applying as a group please: Make it clear on the application form of the names of your group; Size of apartment you require; Talk to your accommodation team early as many buildings sell out quickly. Then we will do the rest!

Can I stay for multiple years?

Many of our residents are returning students who just don't want to leave us. If you choose to stay for more than one year we often offer an early booking incentive. We can't prioritise when we're handing out rooms though, so apply as early as you can to improve your chances. And if you are staying we can give the rooms a thorough inspection, clean them and attend to any maintenance ready for when you return.
