Juno House – Cancellation & Early Termination Policy (Summary)

Effective July 2025

1. Securing Your Booking

• You must pay 2 weeks’ rent to reserve a room.

• This payment goes toward your first rent and is not an extra fee.

• This 2-week payment is non-refundable, except in the cases listed in Clause 5.2.

2. Cancellation Before Lease Starts

A) More than 30 days before start date

• You can cancel for any reason.

• Full refund of the 2 weeks’ rent.

• No documents needed.

• Refund processed within 7 business days.

B) Within 30 days of start date

Exceptional circumstances (with documents):

• Medical issue preventing travel

• Visa refusal/cancellation

• Unexpected personal or family emergencies
  → Full refund possible, case-by-case. Response within 5 business days.

Other reasons (change of mind, plans, etc.):

• No refund of the 2 weeks’ rent.

3. After Lease Starts (Break Lease / Early Termination)

• Once the lease begins, you're committed for the full term.

• If you leave early:

  • You must pay rent until a replacement tenant is found or until the lease ends.

  • You must pay advertising + re-letting costs.

  • A $300 administrative fee may apply.

• Management will try to find a new tenant but cannot guarantee timing.

4. Contract Amendments

• Changes to dates or tenant details must be emailed.

• Approval is not guaranteed.

• A $150 non-refundable fee applies for amendments.

• Bigger changes may require full cancellation (treated as break lease).

5. How to Cancel

• Email hello@juno-house.com.au.

• Include:

  • Full name

  • Booking reference

  • Reason for cancellation

  • Supporting documents (if claiming exceptional circumstances)

6. Refund Processing

• Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days.

• Refunds are sent via the original payment method.

7. Policy Coverage

• Applies to all room types at Juno House.
