This quiet residential area lies in the northwest of the city, in close proximity to the exhibition center, the Olympic Stadium, the Waldbühne concert venue, Charlottenburg Palace (and park), and the A115 motorway (Spandauer Damm exit). Allotment gardens are just around the corner, making it an ideal place for walks — and to buy the occasional jar of honey directly from local beekeepers. Bus and U-Bahn (subway) stations are within a few minutes’ walking distance (Westend S-Bahn station – Ringbahn, Neu-Westend U-Bahn station – U2 line, Bus M45 – direction Zoo, Bus 104 – which runs across the entire city). Reichsstraße is the main shopping street in the area and offers, in addition to supermarkets, drugstores, pharmacies, doctors, bakeries, restaurants, cafés, bistros, and pubs, also small boutiques, bookstores, and more. The weekly market on Preußenallee (Fridays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.) is also within walking distance.
