If before 7 days of commencement of lease agreement:
• You are refused a visa to study in Australia by Department of Home Affairs (DHA)
If you need to cancel your booking with us for one of the reasons detailed below, all you need to do is email us at least 7 days before your contract start date and we will cancel your booking and provide a refund. We will provide flexibility to cancel if you are impacted by any of the below reasons, you are required to provide supporting documentation: FLIGHT CANCELLATION/TRAVEL BAN If your scheduled flight is cancelled and an alternate flight is not available, or if there is a travel ban preventing travel from your country of origin or in Australia preventing you from arrival. VISA REJECTION If your visa application is rejected. INTAKE DELAY OF UNIVERSITY/EDUCATION PROVIDER If the start date of your course has been postponed to a later date or semester, or the university does not offer face-to-face learning. Y Suites reserves the right to charge any cancelation after the given deadline. *Our above Deferral and Cancellation Policy is only available to new students with a booking, who have not previously stayed with us and are currently located outside of Australia. Please note that once your contract commences, this policy no longer applies.
Y Suites on Gibbons FAQs
Six (6) Weeks Bond – 2 Bedroom Apartment, Studio Queen, Studio Deluxe and Studio Accessible
Four (4) Weeks Bond – Twin Share Studio
Two (2) Weeks Bond – Private Bedroom in an 8 Bedroom Apartment, Studio Shared Kitchen
To secure an apartment, the Tenant must pay 2 weeks advance rent and a bond of 4 weeks rent bond amount depending on the room type chosen.
The 2 weeks advanced rent will go towards the initial rent payment, this payment is non-refundable. The bond on the other hand will have to be lodged with the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA), this money may be refunded at the end of the lease, subject to deductions for damage to the room.
Y Suites on Waymouth does not have an on-site carpark, but you may park at the carpark situated at 20 Playhouse Lane, Adelaide SA 5000 which is less than a minute walk away to our property.
