More About the Property

This apartment has one bedroom, a living with kitchen, a spacious bathroom, a balcony with an amazing panoramic view. The restaurants, shops, café’s, theatres, parks and historical places are all within the walking distance. The CoolTower is a residential tower in Rotterdam. The building has 50 floors. Architects was carried out by construction company Ballast Nedam. The Cool Tower is one of the most prominent additions to the Rotterdam skyline and most visible from the city centre. You can watch aircraft take off and land on and around the Rotterdam Airport, and also beautiful view of Lake Kralingen on the other corner. Enjoy the amazing view of Rotterdam Skyline in the night! The tower has a striking central crown, which marks the height of other residential towers in the centre. The apartment has an amazing view! The tower was largely constructed from prefab concrete elements. A unique colour was developed for the exposed concrete. The balconies, parapets and framing elements were made of aesthetic concrete. The facade is made up of white bands and balconies. Facade-wide window strips provide daylight and views. The Cool district, of which the Baankwartier is part, has been designated as part of the high-rise city. At the place where the relics of the reconstruction determine the street scene, the skyline of Rotterdam is enriched with the Cooltower. The tower is much more than a stack of apartments until the maximum building height is reached. She relates to her environment at different levels, on a large and small scale. The ‘Rotterdam layer’ and the commonly used building height of approximately 70 meters are a major determining factor here. And of course the base and top of the tower. The specialization of the building volume at these specific heights inextricably connects the Cooltower with the city fabric and with the skyline of Rotterdam. A tower is work for engineers. Intensive collaboration led to the right balance between construction, form factor and living pleasure. Every centimetre counts on the cost side but also on the revenue side. A puzzle at the cutting edge. The horizontal stacking of the 50 floors goes from airy on the street to heavy in the middle and ends airy again in the clouds. This is achieved by gradually thickening the balconies and the use of panoramic band windows. The special centre section actually forms the centre of gravity of the tower and is called the centre crown.
