The little Castle of Lanke is located in the historic Park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné. The architect of the building itself is Eduard Knoblauch and its traditional spirit has come to live again after an extensive renovation. Friends of the countryside can enjoy the vast opportunities this area has to offer: four lakes (Hellsee, Obersee, Liepnitzsee and Krumme Lanke) are all in walking distance, and can be reached in less than 15 minutes. The own terrace of the apartment, offers the possibility to enjoy the nature also directly in front of the apartment. The apartment can be reached via the main entrance of the castle and the central staircase. The Caste and the little Caste of Lanke are one of the few preserved examples in Brandenburg, which are following in their style the french Renaissance. This style was the predominant taste in architecture of Berlin around 1850. The perfect interplay between architectonical and landscape elements are still proving the highest level or artistic standards of that period. The original urban structure of Lanke (with the castles, the church, the farm, workers houses and outhouses) which is dating back to the 19 century is still in its place. In combination with the appealing landscape out of extensive forests and abundant water resources, the region offers a unique recreation area for guests from near and far. How to get to there:- Public Transport: With the suburban or regional railway from Berlin to Bernau, from there with a cab or the Bus 890 to Lanke ( The bus stop is opposite of the castle). The journey takes usually one hour to one and a half, depending on the start in Berlin.- Car: Via the highway A 11 to Lanke, which takes usually 45 minutes from Berlin.- Plane: The airports Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schönefeld are both reachable within one hour to one and a half by car.
