The Place du Capitole and the historic centre are approximately one and a half kilometres to the west, reachable in twenty minutes on foot or a few stops by métro. A selection of bakeries, restaurants and convenience shops line the surrounding streets within two hundred metres. Getting Around: Gare Matabiau is the closest major transport hub, roughly a five-minute walk from the apartment. From there you can catch TGV trains to Paris, Bordeaux and Barcelona, as well as regional services. The Marengo-SNCF métro station on line A is adjacent to the station, connecting you to Jean Jaurès in one stop and Capitole in two.
