Energy pass Energy pass not available, yet / In application process The Buchenweg is a five-minute walk away from the Steinmüller site, the "New Center" of Gummersbach.They live in former Steinmüller houses - these are houses for the employees of Gummersbach's former largest employer, the boiler and plant manufacturer Steinmüller. All around are gardens that you are welcome to use and despite the central location, the forest is just behind the Buchenweg. You live quietly and yet very close to the city center.Not much can be seen of the former industrial site. Only "Hall 32" remains as the city's cultural center. Concerts, consumer fairs, readings, church services - this is where Gummersbach meets. Also in Hall 32: the "32 Süd" restaurant with a fantastic view of the city garden. The shopping center "Forum", the technical university, the Schwalbe-Arena, the new cinema "Seven", the city garden with a new playground ... All this is only a few minutes away from your apartment.Just like the train station, which you will find in the middle of the site. From there you can take the RB 25 to Cologne or Lüdenscheid. It is also safe on Buchenweg: the Oberberg district police have their new office building 50 meters away.
