Work Placements & Internships for International Students

As a Student visa holder you can complete a work placement as part of your study in the UK.

Placement must be: - As an integral and assessed part of your course. - You should not take up more than half of the course's total duration.

A work placement is an optional but integral part of many UK degrees.

Most cases, you will be working for a company or organization for six to twelve months before returning to school for your final year.

This will allow you to use the skills and knowledge that you have gained in a professional setting.

Term time is when work placements are most common. They will usually take place in the second or final year of your degree.

Your course and your career choice will determine the placement.

Students pay a reduced tuition for their placement year.

These placements have varying salaries, but you could make between PS12,000 and PS20,000 per year in the industry.
