When Asha’s restaurant first opened in Wafi City, Dubai back in 2002, it was with one purpose, to share with its diners Asha Bhosle’s passion for great Indian food. Head chef Rajbir Singh grew up in Delhi and has spent many years training to an extremely high level with multiple highest-rated hotels in India before joining Asha’s in 2015. Tast Cuina Catalana is the authentic taste of Catalonia led by Executive Chef Paco Pérez, who is a master and ambassador of Catalan food, with 7 operating restaurants and 5 Michelin Stars. The King Street restaurant aims to share unexpected and unique flavours. These surprises come in the form of Tastets, which are small tastes of food, more complex than tapas yet smaller than a normal plate. The Castells are a cultural phenomenon from Catalonia, which consist of erecting human towers; a tradition originated at the end of the 18th century in Valls, Tarragona.

Tast has taken inspiration from these human towers and has named their three floors after the three levels of the Castells. Every storey in the restaurant represents the supporting base, the potent core and the culmination of the culinary experience on offer.
