7 Tips to Save Money on Application Fees While Applying in The US

1. APPLY FOR A FEE WAIVER Approximately 900 colleges accept application waivers through the joint application. You can request a cost reduction in the Fee Waiver section.

2. CONTACT THE INSTITUTION You can email Admissions for an exemption. They will provide you with a form to fill out with instructions.

4. BE VERY CRITICAL OF THE POTENTIAL COLLEGE If you are having trouble with filing costs  and are not eligible for filing fee waivers, you should seriously consider reducing the number of applications you submit. You should only contact people you trust.

5. APPLY TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE  Most community colleges have lower entrance fees, and you can also apply for waivers. Community colleges are the best place to start and can also help you reduce the overall cost of your degree.

6. ATTEND UNIVERSITY WEBINARS AND INFO SESSION You may also be eligible for a fee waiver if you attend a college open house or information session. Many colleges give free codes to a select number of students who attend such information sessions.

7. RESEARCH FOR UNIVERSITIES THAT DON'T TAKE APPLICATION FEE There are certain colleges that do not charge fees when applying, try to find those institutes. Check with your admissions  coordinator for details.
