A single-storey factory on the inner ring road in Leicester could be demolished to create an accommodation block for students with 125 beds.

Plans documents reveal the plan to be built located in St Nicholas Circle,

In front of the Holiday Inn hotel and over the road to The Jewry Wall Museum.

Documents provided by Staniforth Architects on behalf of City Group Leicester Ltd show that there will be 108 studio flats situated in an "attractive site" for students and well-served by shops.ad to The Jewry Wall Museum.

The site is located a couple of hundred yards from De Montfort University.

The plans were presented to the Leicester City Council last month and are now available for discussion with the public.

A decision will be taken at a later time.
